About CountryPaycheck

Who runs this site

I'm Bilal Butt. I run CountryPaycheck as a one-person project making salary and gratuity calculators for the countries big sites ignore. Every figure here is checked against official tax authorities — because wrong numbers cost real people real money.

I started this project after noticing that almost every salary calculator on the internet covers the US and UK, while the Gulf, South Asia, Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America — where millions of expats actually earn — get nothing. I built the tool I wished existed.

What I do

I publish free salary calculators for 20+ countries. Enter your gross salary and see your net take-home pay after that country's income tax and mandatory payroll deductions (pension, social security, health insurance). Every calculation runs entirely in your browser — I never see or store the numbers you enter.

How we verify our data

Every calculator is built from the official tax brackets and deduction rates published by each country's tax authority — not from copied blog posts. My sources include:

Each calculator and guide page links its sources and carries a "Last verified" date. I re-check every country's figures at least once a year, and sooner when a finance act or reform changes the rules.

My limits (honesty matters)

My figures are estimates for a standard employee, not tax advice. Allowances, overtime, reliefs, marital status and personal circumstances can change your actual payslip. For important decisions — a job offer, a visa application, a tax filing — always verify with the official source or a qualified professional. See our full disclaimer.
